Jessica Harquail is a dedicated and dynamic accounting professional with over 13 years of experience in public practice. As Managing Partner at Givens LLP, she leads with a hands-on approach—overseeing firm operations, audits, reviews, succession and tax planning, and compliance engagements. Her expertise spans industries including construction, professional services, non-profits, farming, and family-owned businesses.
Proudly of Indigenous and African descent, Jessica brings a culturally grounded perspective to her work and is deeply committed to serving Indigenous communities. She has worked closely with both Indigenous and Métis organizations, ensuring financial strategies are both effective and culturally respectful.
A graduate of Memorial University (BBA, Honours, 2009) and a CPA since 2016, Jessica extends her support beyond the office through active involvement in her community. She serves as a board member of the Synergy Networking Group and contributes to local initiatives such as the Fort Saskatchewan Women in Business, and the Families First Society.
Jessica is passionate about making a meaningful difference—whether by streamlining operations, enhancing financial literacy, or empowering clients with the tools and knowledge they need to grow sustainably. Patrick Sanders is a thoughtful and strategic accounting professional with more than 20 years of experience guiding clients through complex financial decisions. As a senior member of the Givens LLP team, he provides well-rounded advice in accounting and assurance, mergers and acquisitions, family business planning, and succession strategies. Patrick is known for his calm, grounded approach—helping clients gain clarity, stability, and confidence in times of transition.
His industry experience includes construction, fabrication, professional services, real estate, and work with high-net-worth families. This breadth allows Patrick to understand each client’s goals and tailor solutions that support long-term success.
Patrick earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (2006) and completed his professional accounting designations in 2008 and 2015. He is a member of both the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and CPA Alberta.

This philosophy shapes every client interaction and informs her commitment to making financial information clearer, more meaningful, and less overwhelming.
While her expertise includes corporate and personal tax, review engagements, and audits across a range of industries, Farha has spent the past several years specializing in construction, Not-For-Profits, daycares, and early-childhood organizations. This focus gives her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities within mission-driven sectors and allows her to identify new pathways to success for the clients she serves.
Farha holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting major) from MacEwan University and earned her Chartered Professional Accountant designation through CPA Alberta. She is also deeply engaged in her community, serving as Treasurer for the Mosquers Film Festival Foundation, where she supports artistic and cultural storytelling initiatives.

Known for her approachable style and calm problem-solving, Shellian focuses on building trusted relationships that leave clients feeling confident, informed, and supported.
Shellian holds a CPA designation and continues to grow her expertise through hands-on work and continuous learning. Outside the office, she enjoys crime movies and TV dramas—entertainment that she jokes helps keep her detective skills sharp when uncovering hidden financial details.
